The company OSTRA GmbH was founded in 1991 as an engineering activity. In 1993 and 1995 OSTRA invested in the Slovakian factories Silometal spo. s.r.o. and Silotech. In 2002 it came for the majority takeover from Silometal and Silotech, which followed finally in 2006, the complete takeover of both companies.

Today OSTRA has about 25 sales- and project engineers and 200 employees in the fabrication and erection for materials handling equipments and silo installations with individual silos up to 30.000 m3.
We supply customers from almost all areas of the bulk solids industries, with our high-quality products, as for example Stones- and earth industry, foundries, ironworks, chemical industry, food industry, power stations, coal processing plants, waste industry, as well as the environmental- and recycling industry.

From the engineering to the manufacturing and assembly up to the successful commissioning, we cover reliably the whole process. As we look always for the best and most efficient solution, we strive strictly for technical improvements and innovations. With our flexible and highly qualified teams, with modern production technology and
strict quality control measures, we are able to offer any time not only excellent material and high quality standards in the fabrication to our customers, but also to develop individual taylor made special
solutions and to guarantee a comprehensive service.
